Ethan's Favorite Books these Days

Diary of a Wimpy Kid
Lots of Laughs from Ethan while he's reading these books.
I'm not sure why boys (and my husband)love
bathroom talk and total silliness so much.
I guess that's what makes them different than girls.

Audrey and Ear Tubes

Today our brave little girl had Ear Tubes put in. She was so great about the whole experience. We had to be at the Out Patient Surgery Center at 8:00am. The surgery started at 9:00am and she was in recovery by 9:30am. She never fussed or complained. The staff was great, which always makes for a better experience.

At the end of the day Audrey told me this was the "best day". I asked "does that include the surgery?" She said "yes". I hope she always sees the good in things. What a sweetie!

Brrrrr.......it's FREEZING!

Check out the temperature on the speedometer..
Notice the negative in front of the 12 degrees?!?!
I don't mind the snow but this freezing weather is not so fun.
I suppose this is Life in Maine.
Stay warm !

Audrey's First Scrapbooking Page

Oct 1991 -Dec 2008
This is for you Papa Dale.
She saw the picture on my desk and decided she would
make a page with her new scrapbook kit that Aunt Denise
got for her. She knows how much we all loved Mr. Mick.

Hair larious

On Thursday: I told Audrey she should have her bangs cut by her Aunt Heather after school when she goes to Nannie Wizza's house on Friday.

On Friday: After school Audrey was in her Nannie Wizza's sewing room playing as she always does when she decided she would cut her own bangs. She cut one be chunk out when her Aunt Heather walked in.

It ended up not being too bad, Heather was able to fix them so that you can hardly tell. When you lift her bangs up you can see a very short piece of hair. Thank you Heather for doing such a good job making them look good!

When I saw Audrey I told her most people let others cut their hair because it's not easy to do yourself, I also mentioned that if you were to do it yourself you have to have a mirror, she said she used the T.V. screen. What a Nut! But a Nut that is always thinking! I don't think she will do it again or at least not until she's a teenager.

What's funny is that I've noticed over the years that many of the little girls in Kindergarten and Pre-k have had very short bangs. Has anyone else noticed this?

This picture was the next day. Unfortunatley we didn't get a picture of her hair before it was fixed.

Snow Much Fun!

Today we woke up to lots of snow coming down, by afternoon the sun was out and that meant it was time to play in the snow. The kids made snow angels and slid on their sleds with lots of pushes from Eric, he even pushed Audrey and I together. I think he may be a little sore in the morning since he banged his knees on the ice a few times.

First Post

Well....here I go....my First Post. It's kind of awkward! I'm sure it will get easier as time goes by. I figured I'd start with a picture I came across of Ethan and Audrey from a few years ago at Wells Beach. They were small and super adorable. Of course, they're still super adorable but in a different way.

My plans for my blog are to share a little of this and that and what ever I find interesting and of course my family.
