I'm so ExCiTEd!!!!

I just discovered that you can pre-order Becky Higgins "Project Life" album.  Last year I was so bummed that I didn't get one, they were gone within hours.   What I love about this concept is how it's all organized for you (which is a big help to me) and how you can record a whole year in one album.  I can't wait to get mine when they are ready to ship.  I'm so ExCitEd!  Also, check out the free download she's giving for Holiday cards.  FuN!

A Christmas Carol

Yesterday we went to see "A Christmas Carol" with the kids to start off our Holiday fun!  I hadn't seen any previews but I knew the story and knew it was a Disney movie in 3D, I had heard mixed reviews and some said it was a little scary but I figured Audrey loved the movie Coraline and watched that a billion times on DVD and figured she would be fine. What I didn't no was just how scary it was going to be for her (age 6), she made it through the movie but she ended up sleeping with us last night.  When she woke up this morning she said to me, "I think I want to get "A Christmas Carol" on DVD when it comes out".........WHAT?!??!  I don't think I will ever "GET" kids. Ha!   By the way, our 8year old Ethan liked it, he said his heart was beating fast sometimes but he sill enjoyed it.

Audrey Lost her First Tooth!

Miss Audrey and her missing tooth

It wasn't the typical way of loosing your first tooth. On Thursday morning Audrey discovered she had her first loose tooth. She was so excited that it was finally her turn!!! We explained to her that a loose tooth can sometimes take a couple of month before it's ready to fall out, she didn't care she was just excited to have a loose tooth. Two days later her and Ethan were playing in the living room and all of a sudden I hear her screaming, I went into the living room to see her mouth full of blood, tears running down her face and her screaming "my tooth, my tooth, we need to find my tooth!" As I was trying to calm her down, Ethan explained to me what had happened.....they were playing and his hand accidentally hit her loose tooth and out it "POPPED". Once Audrey got the blood cleaned out of her mouth, found her tooth and wiped all the tears away she turned to Ethan and said “Thanks Ethan!”

Thursday Thirteen

This week for Thursday Thirteen, I decided to list 13 Children's books that have been read a zillion times in our home.  A few of "OUR" classics.  Now that my son is 8 he would never ask for these to be read to him but I know he listens when I ask to read them to my 6 year old daughter ( She still loves these books and so do I).

 OWEN
This has to be my all time favorite children's books.
I love all of Kevin Henkes books but this rates #1 for me.
Audrey loves all of his "Lily" books.

What a perfect book for those little ones going off to school .
We have a few other Audrey Penn books
that are read often too.

Well, this is one book my son still LOVES.
There is something about the word "Poop" that always puts a smile on his face.

Cute Story!

Great when Audrey is having a NOT SO GOOD moment.

I could read this a thousand times and never get sick of it.
Our Holiday books aren't kept out all year and this one I always look forward to reading.

This one too I could over and over!

These books have been such a hit with both my kids.  Worth checking out.

Classic!  Robert Munsch is great, we like all of his books too!

Another Classic!

The underpants tell it all!

Another good one for Audrey and me!

Have a wonderful Thursday!!!!

"I Want"...... Wednesday

This weeks question over at "I Want"... Wednesday is......
What kind of good news do you want to get today?

No News is what I want today!!!! Today is Veteran's day which means no school for the kids, no work for my hubby and I and best of all NO Plans or commitments. We have been on the go a lot lately so a day of not having to rush around is what I want more than anything.

What else do you want this week? Share it all.

I really want to dig out my Christmas cards ( I bought at Target last year 1/2 price) and start addressing them. I'm hoping to get my cards out early this year...maybe by December 1st. (This is very wishful thinking, but I'm going to try )

I also want to clean out the kids rooms thoroughly. I'm hoping to make room for the new things they get for Christmas. This is going to be tough since the kids NEVER want to give up anything, I may have to sneak a few things out when their not looking.

And lastly........I want to feel RELAXED. This will be the toughest for me to accomplish since I have a hard time sitting back and putting my feet up.

Have a GREAT Day!

Happy Veterans Day to all those who served our Country!

Forever Plaid

Went to see "FOREVER PLAID" a musical on Sunday with some great gals. What a Fantastic Performance. Lots of Laughs! And, many "I'm sooooo, soooooo sorry" to the lady next to me that I spilt coffee on......oops! Did I mention she was wearing white pants.

The LOOT

We were all so excited to have Jenna and Jackson stay the night on Halloween. Before bed they decided it was time to play. Silly kiddos.
Since they didn't have enough time to check all of their loot out on Halloween night (becuase playing was much more important) they checked it out in the morning. Of course they had to eat some, after breakfast!

Jackson eating a very chewy Bat.

Look at those Blue eyes!

Gold coins..........not the kind you eat but real gold coins!!!

FUN! FUN! FUN!

Halloween Night

Meet Indiana Jones and a Sweet Candy Corn Witch

Jenna was a Bride. The girls couldn't keep their head pieces on due to the wind.
Jackson had Buzz Light Year.

We had a Great Night for Trick or Treating.
The temperature was in the high 60's,
with a bit of gusty winds but I loved it!
I loved how the leafs swirled all around!
We were lucky enough to have Jenna and Jackson join us.
