An afternoon while the kids were at school, a cup of coffee and a glue gun and this is what I did:
I decided not to use burlap for the laundry definition as most I've seen have, I was just too afraid to put it in my printer. I actually was squinting my eyes with fear as I put this cotton fabric through. I was pleasantly surprised when all went well. I first ironed the fabric to some iron on transfer paper so that it would go through easily. The tutorial I saw recommended wax paper but that didn't work for me......I must have been doing something wrong because the fabric wouldn't stick. After the hard part, the fun part started with making the rosettes with fabric and burlap then putting it all together. I had the frame from long ago and it was perfect for this project. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
After that, I made this....
I copied Jen over at Tatertots and Jello. Someday I will attempt to make one filled with rosettes.
It's now hanging up making me happy when I walk by and see it.
Then when I was all done with my two projects it was time to clean up........I'm such a messy crafter and scrapbooker. I make a big mess then clean it up. Do you clean as you go or wait until the end?

AND,
Does your glue gun look like this?
Have a great day and if I can do these projects anyone can!

So cute... I love those Scrabble tiles. Erin @ inbetweenlaundry.blogspot.com
Great ideas to try out - does the sign help the laundry find it's way to the room?
Not sure I dare show my work room - it's getting hard to get in there for fabric.
Love your frame I the wreath! Both look so good.
Oh my gosh - those look great!!!
Love, love, love this wreath! It makes me smile. Wonderful job. Thanks for sharing.
So pretty! I had a burlap rosette spring wreath:) I LOVE burlap! The sign and wreath are both very pretty:)
You are so creative...I love it!! I need some laundry pictures...I may have to do something fun like this!

Fabulous job! They look wonderful! When can you come to my house? lol! Angie xo
LOVE the sign. I recently learned to use freezer paper as a backing to fabric, and then you can print right on your fabric. You did a great job with the flower rosettes.
I LOVE BOTH OF THESE!!! Burlap is so FANTASTIC!!! Thanks for sharing!
I'd love for you to check out my blog, I even have a giveaway right now!!!

I have that same glue gun and it looks just as bad! I wonder if it's just that brand...Does it also gush glue out without you having to push the button?
Cute projects! Did you get the scrabble letters out of a game or some other way?
Very, very cute! I'm looking to make some frames myself although nothing quite as cute as this! Love the crafty idea!
Love love love these ideas!!!!
You are incredibly crafty -- and your pictures are beautiful.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Wow! I love both of these projects, but the wreath is my favorite! I love the rosette/scrabble tiles combo. This is definitely going on my "to-do" list!
